About M-Soft
History
M-Soft N.V. was founded in 1986 as the Information Technology division of the Belgian steel company Metalim, which later became an ArcelorMittal Distribution Division. M-Soft developed one of the first ERP solutions especially for the steel and metal distribution & treatment niche, actually still in use by more steel service centres of the ArcelorMittal group. This solution is now called M-Soft-Steel (M-S-S).
Since 2004 the company is privately owned and keeps supplying, no longer in exclusivity, the ERP solution to more ArcelorMittal Distribution Divisions in certain regions as well as to new clients in Europe active both in the steel and non ferrous metal distribution, as well as service and de-coiling centres. Today M-Soft-Steel is an international solution both sold and serviced directly to European clients but also, in the coming future, by local partners in different countries in Europe and abroad.
Whilst M-Soft could not commercialise its M-Soft-Steel solution, because of the exclusivity contract with Metalim, back in the '80s it developed an ERP software to meet the needs of local production companies. This increased the products' offer. The solution, now called M-Soft-Production (M-S-P) is highly customisable and fully integrated with M-S-S as a module. This solution focuses mostly on Belgian SMEs which work with "discrete" production (by small series or by project).
Next to M-S-S and M-S-P, and completely integrated with them, M-Soft has developed and serviced an international accounting solution, named M-Soft-Account (M-S-A), both to offer the option of a complete ERP system to its clients and to sell it as stand-alone solution, with a focus on Belgian medium sized companies with several offices and subsidiaries abroad.
M-Soft also delivers personnel management and presence registration M-Soft-Time (M-S-T), access control, e-commerce M-Soft-Web (M-S-W) and several other solutions to complete the package.
Today
Since 2008 an international majority shareholder has joined M-Soft in order to boost its already ongoing international expansion in the steel and metal distribution market. This is being achieved focussing on the M-S-S product through a local partnership scheme, whilst consolidating its position in Belgium with M-S-P and M-S-A and an enhanced product development and more investment in services.
