For the replacement of their existing software, handling both distribution and production, AMPCO METAL's IT personnel undertook intensive market research, studying the software solutions of providers from all over the world.
The aim was to find and implement a software package that could fit all their integration requirements in a single software solution, on one central system, with one central database, available in several languages. From metal production, through to distribution activities, all was also to be fully integrated in one central financial system that was readily usable by all Companies within the AMPCO METAL group.
For this reason, AMPCO METAL has unanimously chosen M-Soft-Steel (the non-ferrous part), M-Soft-Production, M-Soft-Time and M-Soft-Account to fulfill their requirements. Their staff training and system familiarization has already begun, with the first implementations in Europe scheduled to start in the middle of the year, followed by the USA at the beginning of 2009. Also in 2009, the integration of AMPCO METAL's operations in China.
